Sheinbaum reported that a definitive proposal will be presented next week. The President denied that the proposal represents censorship and affirmed that «the Morning Press Conference is the most transparent exercise that can exist.» She reiterated that media outlets should have a code of ethics and an audience ombudsman.
Security Strengthened to Reactivate Avocado Exports
The Government is working with producers in Michoacán, the Ministry of Foreign Relations, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the United States to re-establish avocado exports, following the temporary withdrawal of U.S. inspectors. The participation of the National Service for Agrifood Health, Safety, and Quality in inspection tasks will be evaluated.
Infrastructure Drives Economic Growth
The President emphasized that the improved growth prospects for the second half of the year are based on investments in roads, energy, water, housing, and strategic projects. «Economic growth is not everything; what is important is the distribution of wealth and social justice,» she stated.
